MedNow Urgent Care has always aimed to be on the cutting edge of technology when it comes to patient care. We began working with them to create an online check-in system as well as a tele-health portion of their site in early 2020 to help patients have better and quicker access to care. When the pandemic hit in early 2020, healthcare providers everywhere were scrambling to adapt and evolve to fit into the new way of the world. However, thanks to MedNow’s intuition and planning, we were already way ahead of the curve. Many healthcare providers were forced to adapt to the new regulations and restrictions of medical care while also expanding their coverage, all within a very short time frame. However, MedNow had the added benefit of working with a full-service agency, where our in-house teams were able to quickly identify immediate needs, plan new strategies, and implement everything – all in warp speed.

Observation

MedNow has grown exponentially, especially after a recent merger with Urgent MD. Therefore, they were already in the process of feeling out a telemedicine solution, as well as a tool to check-in online, to help better serve patients in the state of Georgia. When COVID-19 hit in early March 2020, they faced an urgent need to get their telehealth service up and running. Keeping physical contact to a minimum while still providing patients with quality care was the ultimate goal.

Hypothesis

By having all of our services readily available via our extensive in-house team of design, digital, and web professionals, we would be able to quickly develop and launch the new portions of MedNow’s website. By launching these new features with a comprehensive marketing campaign in a sensitive time when patients need telehealth care the most, the MedNow telehealth site would see a significant uptick in traffic, thus allowing them to assist as many patients as possible.

Procedure

We tackled this project head-on. Due to the timeliness of this venture, communication was key. By jumping in with clear and constant communication between our team, the client, and the 3rd party medical web provider, we were able to quickly get their telehealth site designed, built, and launched. We also designed and implemented digital ads, billboard campaigns, social media ads, and more to increase awareness around the area.
Our method consisted of:

Designing and building out the MedNow telemedicine website as well as adding the new Online Check-in tool

Creating a new, comprehensive digital advertising strategy with retargeting ads, email blasts,  and videos

Creating Collateral for inside the office to promote the new features, such as retractable banners, table tents, and flyers.

Developing a logo for the new telehealth business that fit seamlessly into their existing branding

Designing advertising for digital marketing and social media to increase awareness and spread the word

Conclusion

Once the site was launched, MedNow Urgent Care was able to provide timely, quality telehealth care to patients. Within just the first three months, the website garnered upwards of 4,000 sessions. MedNow and their patients have enjoyed the immediate and lasting benefits of the telehealth site and online check-in features. The key to this undertaking was constant clear communication with our client. Because of the tight turnaround, we worked with them side-by-side every step of the way. By implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy, we were able to situate Med-Now in a leading position to efficiently handle COVID testing in the CSRA during the pandemic.
